Who We Are
Quiet Ride Solutions, a California based company, began manufacturing automotive insulation products for
cars and trucks in 1977 to meet the needs of hobbyists restoring antique and classic automobiles, and streetrod enthusiasts building custom cars. Today, the company’s product line spans cars and trucks built between 1928 through 2008 and includes a growing list of recent production of new cars and trucks, commercial truck tractors and aircraft.
Our original mission is still the same—to provide quality products that are easily installed by both the home
and professional mechanic, as well as the average “do-it- yourselfer", with a minimum amount of effort and toil.
Our products are year, make and model specific, and everything is included in one box to "do the job right".
QuietRide Solutions was the first company in the automotive after-market industry to develop products to control automotive noise, vibration and heat for older cars and trucks. The company is the original creator of the firewall insulator panels, which cover the interior firewall bulkhead that separates the engine compartment from the passenger cabin. Our first product focused on cars and trucks built by General Motors and MOPAR.
In the late 1980s and early 1990s, with growing pressure from Ford enthusiasts, QuietRide Solutions developed
a new material to produce the unique texture of early Ford upholstery panels known as "chicken track." The new "Coxford" material allowed the company to produce every firewall insulator designed for the Ford cars and trucks built between 1928 through 1948, as well as associated upholstery panels including truck headliners.
With growing interest in the streetrod and custom car hobby, the company began to develop firewall insulators for this segment of car builder based on after-market steel replacement firewalls offered by Bitchin Products, Inc.
and Direct Sheetmetal, Inc. As the development of “new” fiberglass and steel body cars grew, the company began to make products for these vehicles, as well.
In 2000, Quiet Ride Solutions launched the new automotive insulation product line called AcoustiSHIELD to give car enthusiasts the materials they needed to fully insulate the passenger cabin. The strategy of AcoustiSHIELD
is to provide and all encompassing “roof to road solution to control automotive noise, vibration and heat.” With the new product line, QuietRide can now offer an insulation solution for every interior panel from the firewall to
the tail lights. These products create an “acoustic envelop” on the interior of the vehicle to isolate the driver
and passenger from the effects of outside noise and heat. The result is quiet riding comfort.
